As Engineers of Record for Solar Liberty, Trautman Associates is helping to reduce New York City's carbon footprint in part of a statewide clean energy initiative.
Trautman Associates is working on the installation of rooftop Photovoltaic Arrays at New York City Public Schools. This $3,810,000 effort is part of Governor Cuomo’s NY-Sun Initiative. Participating schools include: Daniel D. Tompkins Public School, Staten Island, New York; Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School, Brooklyn, New York; New Utrecht High School, Brooklyn, New York. The photovoltaic arrays not only reduce energy cost at every school but also signal the success of a clean energy environmental initiative that is changing the collective carbon footprint of New York State, generating a total of 1,070 kW at the three schools.
