The building at 2410 North Forest was designed with the focus on tenant comfort, quality work environment and sustainability.  It is the first speculative office building built to LEED Silver standards in Western New York. Some of the building’s features that contribute to a healthy and sustainable work environment include: expansive views and natural day lighting, exterior sunshades, recycling center, country club-style fitness center with showers and changing facilities, and alternative transportation measures including bicycle racks and preferred parking for hybrid vehicles.

Trautman Associates provided energy modeling for the building facade and solar shading systems to ensure optimal energy performance of the building.  Innovative design features will increase its performance nearly 20 percent over conventionally designed buildings. This increase is the result of under floor air distribution with high efficiency roof top units and energy recovery; zoned heating and cooling for increased flexibility and user control; fully integrated energy management and tracking system; reflective “white” roofing; innovative water efficiency through the use of foundation dewatering to irrigate landscaped areas.
