Trautman Associates provided full architectural and engineering services for the design of incubator space for 43 North as part of our ongoing renovation work at the Thomas R. Beecher Innovation Center on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. The Innovation Center, which includes 43 North, is LEED-certified.

43 North is the world's largest business competition, and part of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Buffalo Billion initiative. A total of $5 million in cash prizes was awarded to 11 winning businesses in the Fall of 2014. Included in the prize for each of the winners is a full year of free use of the incubator space designed by Trautman Associates. The space includes private offices, flexible workspace, and large event space. To maximize daylight and visibility throughout the space, glazed demountable partition are used to define offices, meeting rooms, and a conference room.

Trautman Associates collaborated with White Bicycle, a nationally recognized design studio based in Buffalo, to incorporated 43 North’s branding into the design.
