Trautman Associates worked with the Owner to plan the addition of an adoration chapel within the small footprint of the existing lobby of the Queen of Heaven Elementary School. This required careful planning to seamlessly integrate spaces that were being used for other functions. The adoration chapel features stained glass designed by Peggy Eisensmith, a Master Roycroft Artisan, that mirrors the monstrance featured on the alter in the center of the chapel.
In addition to the adoration chapel, a new Reconciliation Room was added, and an existing storage room and teacher’s office were renovated to provide a new handicap-accessible toilet room. Work included installation of new carpet tiles and acoustical tile ceilings, painting, plumbing, mechanical and electrical modifications.
