Trautman Associates completed a Programming and Space Utilization Study for the Fox Run Orchard Park Skilled Nursing Facility. The study is based on tours of the skilled nursing facility and meetings with stakeholders to understand current and future needs and functions of the facility.
The report defines possible solutions that would create an atmosphere that better services the residents and maintains the standard of excellent care currently provided throughout the facility.
Areas under consideration for expansion include semi-private bedrooms, dining area, and common areas. Each space in the report includes defining attributes based on size, furniture, and adjacency. Adjacencies were identified and mapped on a chart included in the report, defining the space and identifying all others that should be located nearby to maximize use and convenience. Recommendations were also given for possible relocation of activities and space not routinely used by residents.
Several options with accompanying floor plans were provided in the report, offering different solutions for the facility’s space/usage needs.
