Trautman Associates was commissioned to provide architecture and engineering services, with specialization in professional electrical service upgrades for the sub-basement, basement, and all 11 floors of the 800 West Ferry Condominium building, a historic Art Deco building erected in 1929.
The scope of work included a field survey of each floor to determine the original architectural layout and converting field notes into drawings to show existing conditions. Based on those drawings, Trautman Associates electrical engineers conducted a second field survey documenting existing conditions of all electrical systems throughout the building including detailed panel and circuit information. All documentation was coordinated to include the electrical loads of integral systems such as the recently completed elevator upgrades and air conditioners to determine the total electrical load to be used in calculating the master distribution of electrical systems in the new design, compliant with building code.
Trautman Associates saw this project through construction documentation and administration.
