Trautman Associates architects and engineers designed the renovation of the new Ten Thousand Vines Wine Bar and Shop in the Village of Hamburg. The scope of design work included the design of the wine tasting bar, a specialty retail shop area, and the design of an addition to the second floor to accommodate the wine-making operations and equipment.

Existing floor finishes were replaced with a hardwood floor and the existing lay-in ceiling was removed, leaving the original wood structural framing exposed in the space.

Trautman Associates was responsible for structural analysis of the existing building and the selection of all interior materials as well as all exterior building materials.

In addition to the original scope of work, Trautman Associates assisted the Owner with the removal of paint from the exterior brick facades. The building, built in 1908, functioned as the Station 1 fire house for the Hamburg Fire Department and served as headquarters for the Village Police Department and jail.
