Trautman Associates has worked with the District and the New York State Education Department to design new stadium venues at the original High School site. The limited site footprint has made this effort particularly challenging, and Trautman Associates has been assisting the District with addressing its dilemma of providing adequate athletic fields for the High School’s 1,750 students. For the past ten years, propositions have failed to construct stadium sites at this facility due to issues related to neighborhood adjacencies, parking, and noise pollution.

Alternative sites have been considered for baseball fields and ancillary athletic facilities both with natural fields and synthetic carpet, all-weather surfaces. One of these alternative site options includes a location approximately one city block of the High School.

Successful transfer of the stadium to an off-site location will allow the high school facilities to provide for daily practices and physical education classes.
