Over the course of several years, Trautman Associates worked via term contract for the General Services Administration. The projects varied widely and included several buildings across Upstate New York.

The conversion of a former FBI office suite for use by the United States Attorney’s Office in Syracuse, NY brought many design challenges. Updates to life safety system, modernized communication systems and wiring, reconfiguration of heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems, and specialized intrusion deterrence systems were integrated into a new Class-A type office space. Detailed space requirements, room sizes, lighting levels and finish standards as part of the USAO’s design guideline were incorporated into the design. The finished space is safe, secure, and an attractive place to work.
